Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou was born in Beaumont in Puy-de-Domme France on the 9th of August, 1976. She was the eldest of four children. She was encouraged by dentist, parents as well as a teacher who were both teachers to pursue her passion for acting. This was in contrast the earlier dream to become a primate scientist because she loved monkeys. At the age of a young lady, her rise to stardom was quick and filled with first-time successes. After her graduation in 1998, she participated in a French talent-scouting television program called Jeunes Premiers that was sponsored by Canal+ and won Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors before beginning her acting career in earnest. Although she studied at The Institut Catholique de Paris and had a religious affiliation in her early years, Tautou has shunned the Catholic tradition, saying that she is not officially Catholic. She pursued a modelling career along with her acting career. She is the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc and Chanel is often called the Chanel Muse. In addition to her acting, she has an interest in photography. The actress recently showed some of her photographs at Arles Film Festival. Arles Film Festival under the name Superficial. The focus of her photography is celebrities, fame and the press that scrutinized her after her rise to fame in Amelie. In addition, there are several photographs that show herself. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom as well as international recognition with her first role in a major film, as the main character in Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie is a huge global box-office hit and has been recognized in numerous awards shows across the globe. It is currently the top grossing French language movie across the US. Following this success Tautou starred in many film productions ranging from British dramas like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Un long dimanche de fiancailles before moving to Hollywood under the direction of Ron Howard of The Da Vinci Code, a Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code along with Tom Hanks.
