Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on the 12th of November, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast and she has the record of being awarded 10/10 marks in an Olympic competition. Bela Karrolyi, the Romanian gymnastics instructor, who later became Comaneci's coach, first discovered Comaneci when she was just six years old. Her first competitive event was the national junior championships in where she placed 13th in the year 1969. In 1970, Comaneci took home the title. The first time she competed in an international competition in a preolympics junior competition for nations in the Communist bloc, she took home three gold medals. In 1973 and 1975, she won crowned all-around Junior Champion. Her debut as a Senior in 1975 she beat the Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva. She was the five-time European champion who won four gold medals and one silver. She became the first female to do a reverse double salo on the bar with a parallel surface in the event she won American Cup, New York City 1976. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. When she was a teen Carol Wayne started working in the entertainment field as a performer as figure skater. With her younger brother Nina Wayne she was part of a traveling show called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was born on September 6, 1942, in Chicago Illinois US. Carol's career began in entertainment during her teenage year. When she was a child she was the figure skater alongside Nina Wayne in the travelling entertainment show Ice Capades. The show featured stage-moving ice-skating performances.
